The Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) was established in 1936 and was incorporated as Govt. Deemed University in 1964. In December 2011, under the aegis of UGC and AICTE, TISS set up the School of Vocational Education (SVE) to provide immediate and defined intervention to improve the skill levels of millions of youth, through appropriate vocational training programs. The target beneficiary would include organized and unorganized workforce across industry and aims to cover every individual who needs to develop employee skills. Therefore, SVE has set up with a vision of creating ecosystem that would bring back the dignity of labour to all professions and occupations to create sustainable source of income for the aspiring youth in the country.
Kuttukaran Institute has signed an MoU as Hub partner with Tata Institute of Social Science – School of Vocational Education for the verticals of Travel & tourism and Automobile.
